Beckman High School Dance Team Triumphs with Multiple National Titles at USA Championships

The varsity dance team of Beckman High School has once again made an extraordinary mark at the USA National Championships in Anaheim, triumphantly returning with an impressive array of titles and records. This year’s competition served as a dazzling conclusion to the 2023-24 competitive dance season, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of the team.

In an unprecedented achievement, the team secured four 1st Place National Championships across various categories. They emerged as National Champions in Large Pom, Large Contemporary, Small Contemporary, and Large Lyrical, demonstrating their versatility and excellence in multiple dance forms.

Further accolades include 2nd Place in the Small Lyrical Championship, Medium Jazz Championship, and Medium Contemporary Championship. The team’s commitment to excellence was also evident in individual performances, with @sophiaoppegardd earning the title of 2nd Place Solo Champion.

Adding to the team’s impressive list of achievements, @alliefrrench was celebrated as the 16th Super Dancer Winner, a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication. The team also took home the titles for the Highest Scoring Pom Routine and the Highest Scoring Contemporary Routine, emphasizing their dominance in these categories.

Culminating their remarkable performance, Beckman High School’s dance team was named 1st Runner Up Grand Champions, an honor reflecting their overall excellence and team spirit throughout the competition.

Head Coach Megan Chavarria expressed immense pride in the team's achievements, stating, “This year's results are a true reflection of the hard work, passion, and commitment of our dancers. Their ability to excel in such a wide range of dance styles is remarkable. We're incredibly proud of their achievements and the sportsmanship they've shown throughout the season. As we bid farewell to some of our seniors, we are excited about the potential and talent that continue to grow within our team.”

With eyes set on the future, Beckman High School announces its Dance Team Tryouts for the 2024-2025 season scheduled for May.
